Story
Every year we like to pick a charity close to our hearts this year it's all the people who are involved in looking after babies and their families through what seems the hardest times of your life. Giving birth to your baby is the most precious thing in the world but when you give birth early you don't realise how many hurdles you have to jump.
The nurses, doctors and staff at Jessops Special Care Unit are amazing and without them my little boy wouldn't have had the start to life he did. They made it possible for him to be here today.
Maxwell was 9 weeks early and weighed 3lb 3oz. He is now a super healthy (heavy) 1 year old. We made some lovely friends for life whilst on the ward and we're doing this for them as well as everyone else we met along our journey and those who have not yet started their journey.
I hope that this event not only creates awareness of premature babies but helps other families get through these tough times.
