Story

I'm running the 2026 TCS London Marathon for Alzheimer's Research UK and in honour of my incredible mother, Lizzie, who passed away in June 2025 following a long battle with Alzheimer's. After she was diagnosed in 2020, I watched as this cruel disease took its toll on one of the brightest, most vibrant and loving people I have ever known.

I am honoured to be able to play a very small part in trying to raise funds to find a cure through running in the marathon, especially as a result of feeling largely unable to help her or my devoted father, Chris, in any meaningful way with her care as her condition deteriorated. London was a very special city to my mother, who spent many happy years at university there. It is also the city where her grandson who she sadly never met was born.

Any donation you are able to give will be greatly appreciated and make a tremendous difference given the amazing work ARUK are doing. I would like to thank everyone who is able to donate in advance for their generosity and I am sure it will help me drag myself around the miles knowing I have your support!
