Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My old page has been closed for this event due to the rescheduling of the event having raised £210 of my £300 target. 

Having only just taken up running in May 2020 I thought it was highly sensible to enter my first ever half marathon when I signed up in August 2020. Whilst the Great North Run is the obvious choice, as an F1 fan the opportunity to run around this famous race track was too good to miss. Delayed twice due to covid 19, the event is finally scheduled for the 10th October 2021.

As a trustee of St Teresa’s Hospice I am acutely aware that it costs over £3m a year to keep the hospice running and provide end of life care for the people of Darlington and surrounding areas, including family support and bereavement counselling.

Especially now during the Covid-19 pandemic, when annual fundraising events have been restricted, pulling on  my trainers and puffing round the home of F1, is a very small part of bridging some of that fund raising shortfall.
