On October 14th I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon raising funds to support the work of Age UK Barnet.
Age UK Barnet is a small independent charity which provides activities and delivers valuable services to the borough’s older population - our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and neighbours.
I have been able to see the vital work they do as part of the Age UK network up close since my Mum began working for the charity in 2003, as well as through volunteering there myself.
From exercise classes, IT sessions, lunch clubs and social groups to befriending and the information and advice service Age UK Barnet works tirelessly to challenge issues faced by older people and empower them to make the most of Later Life. It will come to all of us eventually!
Any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated by Age UK Barnet and funds will be used to continue meet the needs of a group often left behind by many
