Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
This October I am going to Ghana for 3 weeks to teach at the Kyabobo girl’s school and other local primary schools in Nkwanta, a remote part of the Volta region of Ghana. The school exists as a result of the work of the Ghana Educstion Project, a small charity founded several years ago by Gill Norris, MBE, a former teacher at my school. The charity was founded because of the extremely limited access to education for girls in east Ghana, then and now. The school now provides secondary school education to around 500 girls.
I will be going with a team of 15 other girls from my school. As well as going to teach, we are on a mission to raise as much as possible for this fabulous charity before we go. For our next fundraiser we will be doing a 30 mile sponsored walk from Brighton to Eastbourne on 8 September. My Dad will also be joining me!
Thank you for taking the time to read story. I really hope you will be able to donate to this really worthy (but small) charity. All your donations will go towards supporting the valuable work done by GEP and giving opportunities to girls who would otherwise be denied access to education.
Donating via just giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with just giving- they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate- saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
