At Girls on the Run we inspire ALL girls to build confidence and make intentional decisions, while fostering care and compassion for self and others. Trained coaches use physical activity and dynamic discussions to build social, emotional and physical skills in every girl! Girls on the Run of Portland Metro is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and a subsidiary council of Girls on the Run International. Since our start, we’ve partnered with more than 100 elementary schools and served over 5,500 girls in Portland through our afterschool running program. The only program of its kind, we focus on the important connection between mind and body. Our research-based lessons and accessible physical activity instill confidence and nurture care and compassion in every girl!

Story

We are 12 gals training to run 200 miles in 36 hours over the mountain, through the woods and to the coast! In addition to running Hood to Coast, the Mother of all Relays, we are raising money for Girls on the Run Greater Oregon. GOTR is an organization that promotes friendship, self-esteem, and communication for girls! Help us reach our goal today!
