We are excited to share that a group of Dunham McCarthy Team Members have signed up to run the Royal London Parks Half Marathon on Sunday, October 8th, 2023, on behalf of Tommy's, a charity dedicated to supporting families affected by pregnancy loss. Did you know that 1 in 5 pregnancies end in miscarriage? For women who realize and report the miscarriage, the statistic is even higher at 1 in 6. Additionally, about 1 in 100 women in the UK experience recurrent miscarriages, which means they have three or more in a row. Unfortunately, this area of research is often underfunded, and many health professionals are unable to provide answers to women who have experienced miscarriages, leading to unhelpful responses like "It was not meant to be." That's why we are running this half marathon and fundraising for Tommy's. We want to support their efforts in funding research into pregnancy loss and providing support to families who have been affected by it.
