Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On 31 May I will be running the Stockholm Marathon.  The training is nearly done & I think I'm just about ready to go.

As we enjoy the first days of summer (except when James & I were on our last long run last week!) I'm sure we have all spared a thought for the people of Burma/Myanmar (and more recently China) who have been so badly affected by the cards the planet has dealt them.

I have therefore decided to use the Stockholm Marathon as a way of trying to raise money to help the millions of people left homeless & in urgent need of aid. There are an estimated half a million children without basic shelter, supplies and clean water. Their situation is desperate.

Save the Children's Burma/Myanmar Cyclone Appeal is my chosen charity.  This  is obviously very topical appeal (the importance of which transcends any political issues you may have!).

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Save the Children will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please dig deep & sponsor me now!  Many thanks for your support.
