Story
Alexia is a 4 year old Beautiful Princess, on 7th October 2013 she was a very healthy, loving life, gorgeous, cute and amazing little girl later on during this day she looked unwell her loving parents Jade and Gaz were worried and thought she had a cold or the flu, they took her to the doctors who reffered them to Rotherham Hospital whom then transferred Alexia to Sheffield Childrens Hospital after a few test and been seen by doctors Gaz and Jade were told the shocking news that Alexia could have Leukemia.
The following morning results came back and confirmed that it was Leukemia this shocking and heartbreaking news shattered Gaz and Jade and both their families, messages of support came from everyone who knew them and prayers were been said wishing Alexia would get better and beat it. the support escalated and Alexia's story reached people far and wide and still is.
Alexia was not very well after a few days of having Bone Marrow, Lumber Puncture and Chemo it drained all her energy and left her tired and in pain, Alexia had taken a turn for the worse and her legs siezed up, then her whole body began to shut down doctors did more test and had to put Alexia on intensive care, they needed Alexia to wake up for her self and show a positive sign that she was beating her illness. Alexia had used all her energy probably playing with her Ipad that she could use better than anyone I know, Alexia took a further turn for the worse and she had to be rushed for emergency surgery.
Alexia had now got meningitus on her brain causing fluid in her skull and the doctors needed to release the pressure her condition was now critical and, after surgerry Alexia was back on intensive care and the doctors returned and gave Gaz and Jade the devastating that ALexia was not going to recover, they could keep her alive but only by the machines so that Gaz, Jade and both their families could say their good byes.
On 18th October at around 23.45 Alexia passed away peacefully with all her family around her, such a caring and loving family who have had their whole lives ripped appart.
The whole of Rotherham have expressed there sympathy towards Jade, Gaz and family having donations to help with Alexia's amazing send off. Thank you for taking the time to read this and please if you can donate via this so Alexia can be proud and know she is contributing. XX
RIP Alexia XxX
