Story
Hi
Firstly, welcome to the page, and thanks for your interest! I have taken a Challenge on, to raise money and awareness for the mental health foundation. This is a leading charity in helping people through mental health problems, recovery and maintaining their mental health, they also support a lot of people with learning disablities (my main focus of interest)
This challenge, is a ten day trek, up to 6000metres (18,000 feet, or around 5 ben nevis's for those of you still on imperial measures) and will involve the heat and humidity of the amazon regions, followed by the heady altitude of the Andes. I want to make it clear here, i have covered the cost of my place on the trip, all the expenses i will incurr, travel, gear, food, so every penny you donate will go directly to the charity! Also, i know this site charges a little surcharge for its services :(, so i will also be paying that, ensuring nothing you give is lost on its way to good causes!
Right now im in the first, and very stressful throws of raising money, luckily i have a wonderfull family, and some excellent friends who have agreed to help! Together we are organising an Indian evening, Sunaina Parsens (brothers girlfriend, heart surgeon to be, talented cook, and all round loverly person!) will be cooking a variety of real indian dishes, there will also be at least one indian head massure there, a reki healer, possibly some bollywood dancing (come on, i know you've seen them doing it on richard and judy!) some fire poi spinning (fire chains) and hopefully a chance for all who attened to get involved and have a try at all the activities. That much, so far is sorted, but first and most importantly i need a venue! Lots of calls made, so hopefully by tommorow that will be sorted out, the proposed date at the moment is a 6:30 start on Sunday 28th May! Contact myself for tickets (email : alexlewney@yahoo.co.uk, phone 07917764427, any time, day or night!)

Update, i have a hall! swynnerton village hall, Sunday 28th May, indian food, indian head massage, working on the raffle today, so prizes are the next thing! Woo!
Updates on progress soon!
Please sponsor this charity, its work with some of the most ignored people in our society is invaluable, and it really does change peoples lives, promoting their independance, and allowing them to show what they are capable of, rather than highlighting their difficulties.
Thanks,
feel free to call or contact me
