Thank you for joining us on what is sure to be an interesting journey.
A group of friends here in London wanted to see how we could make a difference.
Those who know us can vouch for the fact that the easy thing would have been for us to just give a donation, sit back, and read about this charity in the paper.
But what AbleChildAfrica is doing to help the lives of disabled children in Africa is too important, and as a group we felt we had to show you, our friends, that we were serious. So we decided to climb a mountain.
Now that we have decided to risk life and limb, we simply ask you to give your donation, tweet all your friends and join us in our journey as we try to make to the top of the highest mountain in Africa.
NOTE: We have donated all of the costs of the trip and made sure that every dollar, pound, punt, rupee or real you donate will go directly to the cause, and help pay to enable disabled children to:
- Access quality education, something we have all enjoyed and often taken for granted
- Receive life changing surgery
- Gain skills training so as to improve their chances of getting long term employment
Together you can help us show the world that disability is not an inability.
Also, donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
So wish us luck and give us a BIG reason to take those last few steps when we are fighting to climb past 19,000 feet (5800 m).
Thank you
Ash, Vim, Binoy, Suhrit, Kush, and Paresh.
