THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR TREMENDOUS SUPPORT OVER THE PAST WEEKS AND MONTHS. THERE IS STILL TIME FOR YOU TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE ST RAPHAEL'S HOSPICE IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP OUT.
St Raphael's Hospice provide care for patients, young and old, suffering from advanced stages of cancer, HIV/AIDS and many other terminal illnesses.
Due to the magnificent support received, we have smashed the target of £800. Well Done to everyone.

With the sun shining down on me for 4 hrs 33 mins 07 secs I left London with a very sore red back! Despite very sound suggestions to set off slowly, I raced out of the blocks and got half way in just over 2 hours 3 minutes and had dreams of breaking 4:15:00. Not a chance, with my knee beginning to flare up I was forced to drag my feet along only marginally quicker than those athletes who began walking. From 14 miles onwards I was in a very bad place! That was until I came across the 'Team Wakeham' support club and their vocal efforts. This raised my spirits which kick started my run and got me through to the crowds along the embankment, they and their seemingly constant offerings of Jelly Babies helped me past my offices and on to Westminster before 'cruising' round The Mall and finishing just seconds off 'The Cheeky Girls' An excellent and truly memorable day out, thanks to everyone for the support I received.
