Thee Peaks Challenge · 29 August 2022

Alabaré provides a range of homes and services including supported accommodation, drop-in centres, activities, advice and training services. We support homeless people, Armed Forces Veterans, young people, and adults with a learning disability - helping them to achieve independent fulfilling lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are fortunate to be at University and would like to help others.

We want to help vulnerable individuals who are challenged by life and homeless. We are climbing the notorious 3 Peaks in 24 hours. Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon to raise much needed funds for Alabare Christian Care and Support

Alabare has, for 30 years, through their 72 Homes of which 24 are for troubled Veterans provided sanctuary, training and compassion for  thousands in difficulties or distress.

This includes help back to independent living for alienated young mothers and babes, those suffering from addictions or mental health challenges, young excluded individuals homeless men and women. 24 Homes are for Veterans who struggle to cope with life outside of the military. Alabare also run training courses and daily activities at two development centres in Wiltshire as well as Veteran Self Build sites.

The Charity provides sanctuary, training and most move back into their own accomodation. A remarkable chance for many.

Beyond this, we also provide our learning difficulties clients with long term supported Homes and a chance to work such as in our Garden Centre.

Alabare is a caring developing and excellent Charity doing wonderful work by helping about 2,000 individuals each year to regain control of their lives. What could be more important.
PLEASE! ALABARE IS IMMENSELY GRATEFUL FOR THE TEAM DOING THIS VERY HARD CHALLENGE AND HOPE THAT YOU CAN SUPPORT THEM AND THIS EXTRAORDINARY CHARITY.

THANK YOU.
