October 2015- you have 4 years to live unless you have an operation (MOAS - mother of all surgeries) the cancer will produce a mucin that will slowly restrict your small intestines until you cannot process food and you'll literally starve -  Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP)

January 2016 - 13 hour operation, some liver, all the fat, abdomen lining (peritoneum), omentum, gall bladder, belly button and spleen removed.  60 staples, 2 collapsed lungs, one leaky pancreas, a few touch and go moments, 1.5 litres of someone else's blood (cheers) lots of morphine and one Chuckle Brothers hallucination.

March 2016 manage to walk around the block

August 2016 - play cricket

September 2016 - back to work

January 2017 all clear though yearly check ups.

Now... September 2017 Half Marathon with Sam Tibbitts and Guy Jones

I had lots of support from friends and family, this charity helped too!  And they support others who aren't as fortunate as me.

PMP is treatable, but not curable and I know that I (and others like me) will continue to need support for the rest my life - Maggies will be there to support me and those I love in the years to come.
