Alfie is Walking for Water

Alfie is Walking for Water · 22 October 2017
Did you know almost 60 million people in rural India lack access to safe water to drink or cook with? Did you also know that women and children in rural India often walk up to 6 miles a day in extreme heat just to fetch clean water?
Our kind-hearted superhero Alfie is taking his first steps to change this and do what he can to make the world a better place!
On Sunday 22nd October Alfie and three of his best friends will be taking on a 6 mile challenge for Jeevika Trust, an Indian Livelihood charity who help give more children in India access to safe, clean water that we take for granted every day.
Whilst 6 miles isn’t a huge challenge for most adults, Alfie only has little legs (he is only 5 years old after all!) so this will be a big challenge for him!
The money raised from this 6 mile challenge will go towards restoring reservoirs and building wells to stop women and children having to walk miles every day in extreme heat to fetch water in rural India.
We couldn’t be prouder of Alfie for taking on this challenge and showing the world what a kind, compassionate and loving boy he is... something we've known since day one!
