Alfies Olympia Horse Show - SPGN

Olympia Horse Show · 17 December 2018
Following a conversation in 2016 between my Mum and her friend outside a ring at a local show i am lucky enough to have such a wonderful Shetland called Damerham Briar Lilly. After buying a just broken 6 year old shetland and an eventful first few rides little did we know she would turn into my pony of a lifetime. After a year of Pony Club, hunting, dressage and Showing we decided to take her to the Shetland Grand National Training day. This was the start of a whole new journey and after a great fun packed summer being lucky enough to race at shows such as Badminton, Suffolk County, Gatcombe, Lincolnshire, Dunster, Cartmel, Barbury to name just a few was the start of something great. Being part of a great team this summer and making some great friends has now become a dream come true by being lucky enough to be selected as one of only 11 riders to race at the highly prestigious Olympia Horse Show something that we would never have thought possible when we turned up to the training day with a pony that had never raced and i was only 8 years old. As a team we are now working hard fundraising for the incredible charity that is The Bob Champion Cancer Trust... Bob Champion travels and supports us all around the country working hard to find a cure for the dreadful disease we all know to well !! All donations towards this charity will be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to seeing all my friends and having the most incredible experience at Olympia. Alfie xx
