Story

We have 2 lovely people jumping out of a plane to help Alfie's Squad raise much needed funds, which will help children bereaved by suicide.

Josh, representing Runcorn Linnets, and Linzi, representing Widnes FC, both know Alfie, due to him being captain of Widnes U11's Yellow team.
Runcorn and Widnes play in the Evo-Stik North West Division and are local rivals.
The jump will take place on Saturday, 20th July in Lancaster.

Please see below for a note from Alfie, which will show you why he is an inspiration to many people.

Hello, my name is Alfie. I am 10 years old and a big Everton fan.

I lost my dad on May 6, 2017. He had a mental health illness and sadly took his own life.

This has made my life tough, but I have realised that other people have it worse which is why I turned to Everton – I want to be able to help people in our city who are having a bad time. I wrote a letter to the Club asking if we could work together to help others.

Since losing my dad, I have realised that there isn’t much help or support for children in the same situation as me. Everton in the Community are currently fundraising to build a mental health hub next to Goodison Park called The People’s Place. They will be including a children’s section in it which I think is a boss idea and
so I want to fundraise to raise as much money as possible to go towards the children’s part of the hub. I think this will be very important and will help many children who are in a situation like mine and have been affected by mental health or bereaved by suicide.

Thank you for reading.

Alfie
