Alfie's walk for the Peter Pan Centre · 22 July 2018

Founded in 1969, as a playgroup for children with disabilities, and unique across Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and Cheshire, no other charity does what we do in our region. We are Early Years specialists, giving children aged 0-5 with special needs the best start in life.

Story

When Alfie was 6 we found out he had no hip sockets. Alfie was walking because his femural joints had made their own sockets in his pelvis after his life changing operation that lasted 13 hours Alfie began physio and began to learn to walk all over again. When Franky (his younger brother) was diagnosed with autism he said "my operation changed my life, like the Peter Pan Centre  will change Franky's life"  he decided he wanted to do the hardest thing for himself as a challenge to raise money for the Centre for children with special needs. Franky will be joking Alfie and myself on the walk (with a pushchair). It's a 10 mile walk starting at Longson. We are asking for sponsors to help Alfie and Franky as they walk to help the running of this amazing children's centre. Alfie is now 10 and Franky just 2.5 years. Please show your support and wish them luck.
