ALFRED's 202 mile Wokingham - Torquay Cycle page

Team TaxCalc & Friends are jumping on their bikes to cycle the 202miles over 2 days from Wokingham to Torquay.
The aim of the ride is to remember my Daughter-in-law Kate's Nan (Violet Poole) who suffered from dementia, so this ride is very close to our hearts.
As a team we are aiming to raise as much money as we can for the Alzheimer’s Society to help and support the fantastic work they do for people that need them most.
The 2 days will be a huge challenge for us all, with Day 1 heading out to Glastonbury where a huge ascent awaits at the end of the day. After a refuel for some hopefully alcoholic beverages we begin the final day down into Torquay. It’s here Kate and her family have spent many holidays and made so many happy memories. Finishing here just felt like the right thing to do when designing the challenge.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.
Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
