Story
On the 10th of August 2017, myself, my Dad and 7 friends shaved our heads in order to raise money to fund my Dad's cancer treatment. Along with this event, there were a number of other fundraisers carried out by family members in order to fund the treatment required. Together we successfully funded my Dad's treatment and the excess money raised was donated to Cancer Research UK, which was a great achievement for us all and could not have been achieved without the generosity of our friends and family.
Sadly despite my Dad undergoing this treatment, it was unsuccessful and he passed away on the 21st of September 2017.
This year, in his memory I aim to raise £500 for Cancer Research UK by taking part in Movember - which involves me growing a moustache and looking ridiculous, for the month of November.
The research into cancer is vital to give families living with cancer more time with their loved ones, just as it gave my family with my Dad.
"Together we will beat Cancer".
