Story
In August I will be cycling over 500 miles in 5 days to raise money for
Redbridge High School.
I will be cycling the North Coast 500, which is a circular route around part
of the coast of Scotland. My actual route will be approximately 520
miles and will include the largest hill climb in Britain and some of
the most rugged and remote countryside you will find anywhere.
I am fortunate enough to have worked at Redbridge High School for
nearly two years and I feel passionately that it is an exceptional establishment that makes a real difference to the lives of those that attend. However, like most schools, we are sometimes limited by financial constraints as to what we can provide for our pupils. That is why I am hoping to raise some money to
provide more opportunities for all our pupils.
Redbridge High School is a Community Co-Educational Secondary School for students with severe learning difficulties or profound and multiple learning
difficulties. Many of our students have additional needs and we can provide support tailored to individual need for students with ASD in addition to severe learning difficulties.
The school has 120 places and provides a range of specialist facilities to support our students' learning.
