Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Great North Swim is a 10km swim in open water (!!) which I will be completing in June 2017. I am also completing the Big Welsh Swim in July which is 9km long. To put this into perspective, 10km is 400 lengths of a 25m swimming pool. 

I'm hoping to complete the 10km in under 4hours, so please cross your fingers for me. The charity I have chosen to raise money for is the Citizens Advice Bureau, specifically the one I volunteer for in my local area.The reason for this is that I see first-hand the amazing work that they do. They are an independent charity and therefore rely on private donations and if they can, public funding from local councils. 

The charity not only helps individuals directly, they also use the stories (anonymously) to campaign to make real change in the UK. They highlight key issues that people are facing and actively try to improve the lives of those in their local areas, and across the UK.
