Over 9 days between 7^th – 15^th September, I am hoping to complete a 980-mile journey on my bicycle, from Land's End to John O'Groats.

Any money raised will go to Dame Hannah Rogers charity, which supports Hannah’s school at Ivybridge in Devon.  The school is for young people with complex physical disabilities.  I decided to raise money for the charity after being shown around the school by the head teacher, Jason Ryder, who is also my friend and neighbour. 

I was struck with not only the physical and mental difficulties of the children, but also the challenges facing them when they make the transition to adulthood, with the prospect of insufficient care and
support in the community.  Jason and his staff are committed to providing the best possible environment for the children, whilst raising public awareness of the problems faced by people living with disability.

It’s certainly going to be a challenge for me and I expect there will be some difficult days.  But each day I will remind myself how lucky I am to be physically able to attempt this.  I know that it is not an option
for some people, because of injury or disability.

100% of all donations will go to the charity.  Any donation, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated.   Thank you.
