My name is Jemima. I was born 11 weeks prematurely, and was deprived of oxygen in the incubator, which resulted in my brain damage. I am almost 10 years old and have cerebral palsy. I am spastic quadriplegic, visually impaired, can't talk and suffer from epilepsy, but I am the happiest girl you can ever meet. I love to take on challenges and never give up on my dream of one day being able to fully integrate in society and reach my full potential in life. 

I am very lucky to be attending a special school called THE PACE CENTRE, for children just like me. I have an amazing team of teachers, therapists and classroom assistants who work with us and inspire us every day to reach our full potential as learners, members of society and as part of our families. 

In order for my school to be able to deliver their outstanding integrated therapy and provision for us, PACE needs to raise £1.4 million a year to do this, so please sponsor me in my challenge and help us reach our target of £60,000 in this year's Children's Challenge. Every penny counts.

This year I am taking part in a Boccia competition. I'm learning to maintain my sitting position whilst using my arms. Therefore my challenge will be for me to maintain my sitting position on my stool, whilst I aim and push the balls towards the target.
