Ali and Dan are running the Great North Run in September, fundraising for the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals charity and in particular the Critical Care Unit at Royal Preston Hospital. 

This is a cause close to Alisons heart especially in the last 18 months where everyone has been working tirelessly to give our patients the best chance of survival working through the covid-19 pandemic. 

It's time that we do something to show our appreciation to everyone involved and raise some money for this very special place. 

Our donations will help fund additional equipment, family friendly facilities and national learning opportunities in our Critical Care Unit.

Our critical care unit at Royal Preston Hospital is one of the largest in the North West of England, looking after more than 1600 patients every year.

Our dedicated team provides intensive treatment and close monitoring of patients who are seriously ill, or who need intensive care following surgery.

As our Critical Care Unit continues to grow there will always be a need for those added extras which can make all the difference to our patients and their families, when they need it the most.

Your donations will enable us to provide a welcoming, calm and comfortable environment for families staying close to their loved ones. It will also fund additional patient and training equipment, enabling our team to remain at the forefront of modern technology and exceptional care.
