110km Ultramarathon for Ahmed Hussein-Suale

On January 16th 2019, at around midnight, Ghanaian investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale left his home in the Madina suburb of Accra to go check on a nephew who was sick.
Minutes later, two men came up to his car and shot him three times in the neck and chest. He was 33 and a father to three young children.
Ahmed, who worked with the most famous undercover journalists in Africa—Anas Aremeyaw Anas—to uncover the truth and expose wrongdoings, was a friend of BBC Africa Eye.
On June 19th and 20th, I will run The Wall Run 110km ultramarathon in memory of Ahmed and all the journalists, both staff and freelancers, who have been killed in the line of duty.
I am also raising money for the Rory Peck Trust. Named after freelance cameraman Rory Peck, who was killed in Moscow in 1993, the Trust does so much incredible work to support and protect freelance journalists around the world and their families.
