Story
On the 7th December 2013, my beautiful best friend Lucy sadly had to say goodbye to her dad, Andrew Cadwallader, as he tragically passed away due to an undiagnosed heart condition. Craig’s Heart Strong Foundation “raises the necessary funding to enable the heart screening of men and women between the ages of 14 and 35 here in the Isle of Man in order to detect any possible symptoms of Hypertrophic and Dilated Cardiomyopathy and thus help prevent Sudden Death Syndrome”.
In 2014, a group of us girls completed the U21 Parish Walk, walking 32.5 miles. However, now that I am 21 I am allowed to walk the entire course. With a passion to walk and an eagerness to raise as much money as possible for a wonderful charity, I have put myself up to the challenge to walk my tiny legs around all 17 Parish Churches - which is a whopping 85 miles, in just 24 hours.
Not only would the money raised provide heart screen testing in the Isle of Man, but would enable defibrillators to be issued across the island's various sports clubs, to prevent a tragic incident like this happening again.
So please help me support my best friend in loving memory of her best friend. I would be so grateful for any donations, big or small, as every penny is an extra push to the finish line xxxxxxx
