Hello Mojo
Campaign by Health in Mind (RCN SC004128)
We've all witnessed a lot of change recently, with many of us facing disruptions to our routines and the things that keep us well. Say #HelloMojo and challenge yourself to break an unhelpful habit or start a brand new one to help get your mojo back.

Story

The #HelloMojo campaign is about doing something that you know makes you feel better, while raising money to support vital mental health services at this time. I've been one of those people irritating people who got really into Joe Wicks workouts during lockdown, and told EVERYONE about it. Now we're allowed back into the world again the workouts have slipped down my priorities list, rapidly.

So, to get my mojo back, Joe Wicks does a 7 days of sweat challenge on his youtube channel and I'm one upping him and doing a 30 days of sweat challenge - a Joe Wicks everyday for 30 days (no rest days!). If you've ever done one of his workouts you'll know it's not easy. My 30 days will start on 10 September (Suicide Prevention Day) and end on 10 October (World Mental Health Day) to raise awareness for mental health.

I'm doing this in aid of mental health charity, Health in Mind. Mental health is a cause which as for many, is close to my heart. Covid-19 has had a huge impact on people's mental health, and early research shows the impact is greater on those living in multiple deprivation and BAME communities. Those with pre-existing mental health difficulties are also impacted – their usual community supports having closed or moved online. The significance of how we support people now will be long-lasting for their future wellbeing and resilience.

Health in Mind is a charity promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. Our unique mix of services includes befriending projects, information, counselling services and specialised trauma support. During this challenging time, we have moved many of our services to online and over the phone support. We use creative and innovative approaches to continue supporting people, for example we hold a fortnightly peer support group using Zoom and have launched a distance befriending project to support those struggling with isolation and loneliness during this time. Thanks to fundraising and donations these vital services enable more than 3,500 people every year to access the help they need.
