Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Everywhere I've lived I've done a race, the Lincoln 10k, Hull 10k and the Great North Run, I couldn't leave Yorkshire out! (Update...since writing this I am now doing the GNR again!)

SEED do incredible work and are based in Hull, where I'm studying for my PhD, researching treatment of eating disorders.

At the age of 15 I was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa, I became very unwell mentally and physically. At the age of 19, I was told I had a week to live after developing sepsis due to being so unwell. However, through the help of amazing healthcare staff and my mam, I pulled through. I'm now in the final year of my PhD researching eating disorders and I'm so grateful to be able to do this.

I've been in recovery for 9 years and what better way to celebrate than a marathon and the fantastic GNR! Putting my body to the test and proving anorexia wrong.

Let's do this!

(Sorry mam).
