I personally was not aware of the Motor Neurone Disease Association or even the disease until about 2 years ago. Some close friends had relatives that were diagnosed with the disease, and it soon became clear how serious and damaging the disease was. At our school a few charity fundraisers were carried out which the majority of students took part in and it showed how important raising money for this charity was.
