So I've managed to talk myself into running/walking/probablycrawling the Sydney Half Marathon!

I've decided to raise money for Action for M.E., an amazing charity that is very close to my heart and that supports those who suffer from this debilitating condition.

M.E (myalgic encephalomyelitis), or chronic fatigue syndrome as it's sometimes referred to, is a chronic neurological condition that affects around 250,000 people in the UK and 17 millions worldwide. 

My little sis, El, is one of those people and 5 years ago she became extremely unwell with the condition, being bed-bound and off school for the majority of her year 9 school year. As her sister, I just wanted to be able to help her but what made it worse was that it seemed like there was no way her condition could be treated. 

The research into M.E is ongoing and Action for M.E helps to fund pilot research projects to advance our understanding of the condition as well as working with professionals to improve the care and treatment that sufferers can receive. 

Hopefully, by raising money for this charity, I can help people, like El, get the treatment and advice that they need to make their life with M.E that bit easier.
