Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know, I moved out to New York earlier this year and despite an attempt not to fall victim to the food culture out here, it happened.  So "what better way to fight the beast than to train for a marathon", right?

No matter that my last half marathon race time (assume American accent) sucked..(lose said American accent, it doesn't suit you)..no matter that training in the city is somewhat distracting (bars, restaurants, coffee houses, friends on every corner)..no matter that I have no proof I can actually run 26.2 miles..I signed up to run the Philadelphia Marathon on November 17th.

Furthermore, I somehow managed to wangle a place in the NY Marathon, which just happens to be 2 weeks before Philly.  So it turns out I'm running 2 marathons.  In 2 weeks.  Worth a few quid, right?

I'm raising money for a truly wonderful charity, in memory of an inspirational person who touched many lives.  Every donation helps, so please consider sponsoring my challenge for this worthy cause.

Thank you!

Alice.
