<p>In February this year I took the worst phone call of my life.</p>
<p>The day before I had found out that my friend Amy's 7 month old baby, Oscar, had meningitis and although I knew this was a very serious disease and I was worried, I just had a calm feeling and I thought I knew everything would be okay. I slept well that night and the next morning I went on a driving lesson and to school as usual.</p>
<p>It was about 1.30 when my phone rang, it was Amy's sister (who had been keeping me up to date on Oscar's progress) she told me that oscar had been pronounced brain dead. The day he passed away he took a little piece of my heart with him.</p>
<p>Oscar really was the perfect baby, everyone he met fell in love with him and he was very spoilt by his many honorary aunties and uncles. I will always cherish the moments I spent with Oscar.</p>
<p>Instead of dwelling on what could have been; me, Auntie Rosa, Auntie Sophie and Oscar's incredible mother Amy are committed to raising money in memory of Oscar, to try and eradicate this horrifyingly rapid disease.</p>
