I have worked for Golddigger Trust for two years now. Through that time I have talked and spent time with a lot of young girls who are struggling with their mental health. Sometimes they just need someone to talk to for a short time, either through our weekly Drop In or by accessing our self-esteem or managing emotions course. Other times they need long term support, regular mentoring where they can be listened to and supported for however long they need. We are getting in excess of 30 referrals a month by young people desperate for support, someone to hear them and help them to find the gold within themselves. If you can help Golddigger Trust by sponsoring me to run 10K so that these young people can continue to access support from us that would be so awesome! It's going to be a tough challenge for me as I am not used to running so knowing people are supporting me and these young people will go a long way to keep me going to the finish!
