On August 19th I will be hurling myself out of plane from a great height (10,000 feet to be precise), and hopefully parachuting safely back to earth. The skydive was originally a 21st birthday present from my family intended purely for "pleasure" and much as I'm sure I will have a lovely time up there, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to raise a little cash for charity.
As some of you will know, my good friend Heli's mum passed away earlier this year after a long and brave battle with cancer. Sue defied the odds for many years, and I know Heli and her family believe this would not have been possible without the tremendous support of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Sue was a caring, brave and inspiring person who is greatly missed by all that knew her, and I could not think of a more suitable cause to raise some money for.
If you could spare even a small amount of change it would be much appreciated by myself, Heli and family.
So here goes, taking the plunge from 10,000 feet...this one's for you Sue! xxx
