Story
Did you think we’d stop at completing Hadrian’s Wall? Oh no…
It’s hard to tell if we are ambitious, or completely and utterly foolish but,
we are back and we are going much, much BIGGER.
Commencing 13th June Alice and Bethany will
embark on a 177 mile (yes 177, that is 285km) hike of Offa’s Dyke. For those of
you who don’t know, Offa’s Dyke stretches the entirety of Wales and crosses the
border around 26 times. It is described as ‘challenging’ and comes with
warnings not to be ‘deceived into thinking it is an easy walk’, which we are
pretty sure is code for ‘what are you thinking why have you committed to this’,
there are actual mountains. We will be doing this over a period of 12-14 days
with a couple of extra days for resting.
Anyhow, like last time, we will be hiking the entire length,
carrying everything on our backs and camping along the way. The only difference
being that it’s more than double the distance… what could possibly go wrong!!
Be prepared for daily vlogs, where you will probably be able to pinpoint the
day we both wonder why on earth we committed to this, (last time we made it 4
days… let’s hope at least a little longer this time!).
In true Alice and Bethany style, we will be raising the
money for charity, this time MIND, an absolutely wonderful charity that touch
millions of hearts and have helped countless people. Any donation, big or
small, will make this journey all the more worth it and will help change
peoples’ lives.
Donating £5 versus hiking 177 miles… I know what I’d rather
do!
Thank you for your support.
