Story
Liz, Rachel's mum, lost her battle with cancer two years ago at just 66 years of age.
We are walking to remember her and raise awareness of this cruel disease.
Rachel and Dan spent their childhood with their mum in Llangennith so the Gower Peninsula area that Rachel and I will be trekking has a special significance for them and their mum.
We are taking part in the sunset Trek 2023 to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK. They are the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and are determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with more than 16,500 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable. We are determined to help Bowel Cancer UK to change that. The money you donate will help provide support and information to patients and their families to enable them to fund and support research into bowel cancer and campaign for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.
Thank you,
Alice & Rachel
