Jumping for Justice on Death Row · 14 December 2015

We believe the death penalty is disproportionately imposed on the most vulnerable in society, violating their right to due process and equal justice before the law. Our aims are to provide better access to justice and to raise awareness of potential abuses of defendants' rights.

Story

Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most of you know I've been working as a student representative for Amicus since September in an attempt to raise money and awareness of a charity I really believe in.

Amicus is a legal charity that helps provide representation for those facing the death penalty in the US. The death penalty is disproportionately imposed on societies most vulnerable, violating equal justice before the law. Representation on these cases is incredibly poor, with defence workers being overworked and underpaid. A significant amount of people have been put to death because of poor legal representation.

Anyone who knows me will know that I am terrified of heights - I am scared of escalators, never mind jumping out of planes! So please support me and this amazing charity by donating any amount, no matter how big or small.

Alice xx
