Glasgow Kiltwalk 2025 · 26 April 2025 to 27 April 2025 ·

Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

On the 27th April I am taking part in the Kiltwalk's Mighty Stride, 23 miles, starting in Glasgow Green ending in Balloch, Loch Lomond. Why you may ask, well as many of you know, my mum, Alice Robertson has advanced dementia, a horrible disease which has robbed her of many happy years with her grandchildren, her daughters and her family and friends. Loving someone with dementia is like grieving for that person over and over, watching them slip away from you, the longest goodbye.

I appreciate all of your donations which will go directly to Alzheimer Scotland to help fund vital dementia research and continue to ensure no one faces dementia alone.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
