Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Update:

My original challenge hasn't been able to go ahead but today I completed 26 activities including a 26.2 km run and 26.2 mile bike and 24 other exercises! A long day going. I thought it would be nice to add a charity if anyone has a spare pound or two as I originally pledged to raise a chunk for this amazing marine charity based in the UK.

Thanks folks xxx

Some of you may know, I ran 60 marathons in 60 days in October and November 2015 which was validated as a Guinness World Record for the most consecutive run marathons by a female.

I am now taking on my next challenge which is to run the furthest distance on a treadmill in 7 days. I am sponsored by Garmin UK and David Lloyd Southampton. #GarminUK #beatyesterday #DavidLloydSoton.

This will again be a Guinness World Record attempt. My target is 75 miles a day. This is going to be a big step up in terms of intensity and I really hope I can make it to the end!

For my record, I am an Ambassador of the Marine Conservation Society.

I have therefore chosen the wonderful UK charity, Marine Conservation Society, as the plastic pollution is in serious need of cash to help tackle this global issue.

I feel very passionate about this as I am a huge lover of animals and the thought of fish, bird and mammals choking a gagging on bits of plastic because they just want to eat. These animals are also trapped in their environment as they simply cannot escape, the plastic is everywhere.

Plastic is also getting into our food chain and this will cause devastating effects which I expect are not even close to peak of the negative impact.

If I can make a difference in running as many miles as my legs and body will carry then I will. All I ask if you help me make a difference and any amount will make a difference. Also time in thinking and reading about this charity and the work that it does. Perhaps you could adopt in your home or work and understand the impact this synthetic material is having in our fragile world.
