Thanks so much for visiting my fundraising page.
My aim is to just complete the ironman, there's a cut off time of 16 hours. If my training goes to plan I'd like to make 13 hours, but just completing this event will be amazing.
I'm raising money for the mental health charity Mind. 1 in 4 of us will be effected by a mental health issue of some sort. These can range from stress, anxiety, post natal depression, phobias, sleep issues, bereavement, eating issues, depression etc.
Mind offer support for millions with a helpline, information services and online communities. With a network of local Minds across England and Wales for face to face support. They also look to raise awareness.
“We believe that everybody experiencing a mental health problem should be empowered to make their own choices about treatment and recovery, be able to access the services they need, should be treated fairly, positively and with respect'
We invest time and money to look after our physical health, and I believe it's just as important to also invest in looking after our mental well being too. Whether in the form of exercise, mindfulness practicing, yoga, meditation.Please spare some money towards this fab charity and check out my blog for training tips and my journey to the Ironman Switzerland.
