Learning Disability England is a charity and membership organisation made up of people with learning disabilities, families, allies and organisations. Our work aims to change how society views people with learning disabilities and make sure people can live normal lives in their communities.

Story

In October 2016 a group of us walked from Santander to Aviles in Northern Spain with a cardboard bus. We did this to remember and celebrate the lives of Connor Sparrowhawk (also known as Laughing Boy or LB) , Danny Tozer  and others with learning disabilities that have died preventable deaths in the UK.

We are continuing the Camino on 31st March- 14th April 2018, from Aviles to Santiago de Compostela and will be walking 170 miles with families that have lost loved ones, comedians, activists with learning disabilities and those who work to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities. We want to make sure that Connor, Danny, Anthony, Thomas, Nico, Richard, Oliver and any other person with a learning disability that has died a preventable death is known about and remembered.

I am raising money for Learning Disability England so that more people with learning disabilities and their families can work to make a better country for people with learning disabilities.
