On Friday 11/03/2022 I will run the Doha Ooredoo Half-Marathon to help raise money for the Animal Organization PAWS Rescue Qatar.
PAWS is a non-profit organization in Qatar and a registered charity in the UK that rescue animals from the streets abandoned, stray or injured (they can't be registered in Qatar as no animal humanitarian groups are allowed to be). By the end of October 2021 PAWS received heartbreaking news that they have been given an eviction notice to leave their shelter by the end of April 2022. So their highest priority at the moment is to get all the 250 dogs and cats into either foster or forever homes and find another location for the shelter.
The money raised in this event will help PAWS in this transition.

El viernes 11/03/2022 correré la Ooredoo Media Maratón de Doha para ayudar a recaudar fondos para la Organización Animal PAWS Rescue Qatar.
PAWS es una organización sin ánimo de lucro en Qatar y una organización benéfica registrada en el Reino Unido que rescata animales de las calles abandonados, extraviados o heridos (no se pueden registrar en Qatar ya que no se permite que los grupos humanitarios de animales lo estén). A fines de octubre de 2021, PAWS recibió noticias desgarradoras con un aviso de desalojo para abandonar su refugio a finales de Abril 2022.
