I am taking parting in the Aspire Channel Swim in memory of my late mum who suffered a spinal injury in 2017.

Mum fell down a flight of stairs. On arriving at King's College we found out the the extent of her injuries. Mum had damaged c3, c4 and c5 she was quadriplegic and would need breathing assistance.

Mum spent two and a half years at Stoke Mandeville Spinal Injuries Unit and came home May 2019.

Sadly Mum past away Sunday 22nd September 2019 following complications with her tracheostomy.

I am also swimming for Matty Horkan who also suffered a serious neck injury whilst volunteering in Tenerife and is currently in rehab at Stoke Mandville.
