The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page .

I have Severe ME which leaves me bedridden and reliant on my Husband & Daughter. Just imagine for a minute if you relationship with your partner stopped being what it is and became you needing them to do everything for you . Imagine having to ask your son or daughter to take you the bathroom .  Unfortunately that is my reality.

My life has gone from full time wife/mother with a successful career to being needing help to brush your teeth.

My life is constant pain and it’s not really a life , it’s more of an existence. No one should have to live like this yet unfortunately I’m not alone.

We need help and awareness to get people really looking into what causes this and really looking for a cure. My life wasn’t supposed to be like this , I should be looking forward to growing old with my Husband not living like this.
