To bring a Hope and a Future for children of the street. Demonstrating the love that has been robbed of them through no fault of their own. Giving Life where there was none.

Story

I started running a few years back and this will be my 3rd year running the 10k for Gospellife International. The work they do in Uganda is changing the lives of vulnerable children who were left abandoned on the streets.

Here's what Robert Baker, CEO of Gospellife International has to say:

Each one of the children has a story to tell of life on the street, locked into crime and child abuse. Their stories will never be told; they are too painful and the scars are deep. When taken off the street, they are naked, their faces so saddened with pain and anguish - this should never happen to these so young. It is not unusual to find a three or four-year-old caught up in a street gang because their parents have died and they have nowhere left to go. Abused physically and sexually with no hope, they exist until they are no more.

What of now? A smile on their faces, living in a loving, caring environment, clothes to wear, food on the table, and most of all, an opportunity to learn. The fear is gone, they live for their tomorrows with hope and a future, knowing that people do care and they are loved. Alina's Kids, part of the children's outreach of Gospellife International supply all their needs for them to grow into young men and women, giving them the hope that was tragically taken from them.
