I am doing the race for life in an effort to help raise funds both to fight cancer, the dreadful condition that destroys lives and to support the charity that helps families during these difficult times and was the charity of choice by John's family at the funeral. 

John was a wonderful person who didn't deserve to have his life ended so prematurely.
