Story

I am riding in this charity race in memory of Izzy Squire and Beth Anderson, two beautiful sisters who lifes' were taken too young. I believe both would want to support Changing Lifes through Horses which aims to improve the lives of disengaged young people and give them the opportunity to develop skills that enable them to return to education and/or employment.

I am not from a horsey background but they are in my blood and I was obsessed with them from a very young age. My life could have turned out very different if at 14, I had not been given the opportunity to ride for a local farmer and my competitive riding career start.

Over the years Ive done a bit of everything but my main passion is cross country. I still event today and my most recent sucesses have been on Izzy's horse B Walt Lando z who was her pride and joy. Previously I competed my two homebreds up to British Eventing 1*.

I am a C10 Applied Psychology for Equestrians Adavanced Coach and love helping people over come their fears and reach their full potential.

Horses have a powerful way of inspiring disengaged young people to reconnect with society. Over the last 3 years I have worked and trained with Steven Coyle (who is also riding in this race) who is a recovering drug addict. He is living proof how horses can transform someones life, that is why I am passionate to raise money for this under funded cause. They have literally saved his life and together we want to raise money to help reconnect other young people to a better life.

In 2021 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer but fought back to riding and competing again within weeks of my operation. It made me realise more than ever life is for living and riding in this race with Steven is a dream come true!  It going to be a completely new challange with alot of hard work and dedication but I know it will be worth it. Looking forward to seeing a few friendly faces on the day.
