Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This will be my biggest challenge yet! Anyone who knows me will know that I don't really like the weather too hot, crikey I take my UVA parasol on holiday with me all the time!I have taken part in marathons and ultra challenges, but this time I wanted to be challenged that little bit more, and I thought if there was an event that would challenge me to the hilt it would be a desert challenge, and then hey presto I received an email from St Wilfred's asking if I would like to take part in the Sahara Desert Trek!! No showers for 3 days in the hot desert, freezing temperatures at night, no proper toilet etc, you get the picture.

But what an adventure and an amazing experience that I will never forget! Please help me support this amazing charity that looks after so many people who contract this terrible disease, its costs £12,500 a day to run a hospice and hardly any government funding! Also in memory of Mirand Baird who used to dance with my belly dance troupe the Sea Gypsies, I will never forget how the hospice helped her and her family.

Any amount is not too small.  I know you get asked to donate for one thing or another, but please, even a pound would help.

Lots of love and light

Alison

xx
