During the last months of her life Alison received palliative care from Marie Curie, first at home and latterly in the Marie Curie Hospice at Fairmilehead in Edinburgh. The quality of this care was quite remarkable, the staff professional, sensitive and loving. Alison, myself, Dougal and Ruairidh feel fortunate to have benefited from this care. It allowed Alison to die with dignity and in peace surrounded by love. We only received this because others unknown to us made donations; we wish to support Marie Curie in giving the same high quality of care to those who need it in the future.
